Castle Tyren

Some say Castle Tyren is empty, and some disagree. The castle is surrounded by a deep mote and rumors has it that crocodiles lived in it's muddy water. The castle is usually dark, but sometimes, a glint of light would shine from the windows at odd hours of the day. So who can say?

Stephon flipped to his feet and lunged at kyen clanging swords with him."Remember that hurting a prince of Tyren is punishable by death."He growled before swinging his sword at kyens leg so unexpectedly fast that it slashed his thigh oozing blood.

Alina clenched her jaw.She didn't want to scream his name.

Kyen shrugged,
"Nay lad, didn't hut you, but I wont allow you to win either. Besides, I wasn't the one who tripped you." he winked at Alina. He ignored the blood and he flicked Blue Ice, catching the hilt of night Hawk and with the same smooth movement, he twisted, making the blade fly in a ark from Stephon't grasp. ,

Alina caught night hawk in her hand and pointed the blade at her brothers neck."You still need training."She teased.

Stephon growled."Alright you made your point."

Alina chuckled.She swisted the blade down to the ground and held out the hilt."Easy brother."She crooned."It was only a small challenge."

Stephon snatched his sword back and sheathed it."We're done here."And with that he left.

Kyen watched him go with a amused look and called after him.
"Nay lad, that was not even a wee challenge, was a warm up." then he turned back to Allina, "Well, I want to know why you invited me here. Surely not to cross blades with your brother."

Alina shook her head,expression gone serious."No I didn't.It's about us.you and me.We are the same.We are the last of our kind."

Kyen waited,
"No, there are still a few of us. Though we have a home well hidden in a place known as Half Moon Mountain." he said finally. "What about us?" for as far as he can tell, she and him had not seen eachother until this day.f

Alina frowned as sadness took over her."I thought I was the last one.I heard rumors of our demise and kept my self a secret from the world except here in my home."She thought of that place.Half moon mountain.She wanted to see the others.

He looked at her questioningly,
"Well, why did you tell me that you're last one now? You trust your secret with me? No one could find our strong hold. There
s only five of us left, including me." he said quietly.

Alina was lost in her thought now.The urge to go to Half moon mountain was heavily weighed in her mind."I should go to half moon."She said quietly to no one in particular.

As Kyen polished Blue Ice, he watched Allina closely.
"You want to go to Halm Moon don't you." he said softly. "But what would you do there? You can never find our hideout without one of us to guide you." he sheaved his blade and waited.

Alina thought a moment gazing at Kyen questioningly.She didn't know the way to half moon and she didn't want to get herself lost.

His eyes sparkled,
"You want my help don't you? But first tell me, why do you want to meet the others."

Alina frowned."I want to be able to be around my own kind.Like what my mother said to me,she used to be with them but then married my father.He is human.My brother is human.Since mother died of illness I have felt alone."

"You wish to be part of the hunters of the night las?" he cocked his head at her, "What of your brother and father?"

Alina's face fell.She didn't want to leave but the urge to see people like her was thrilling."I will leave something behind for them."She said finally.She smiled and turned to go to her room."Follow me."

Kyen felt uneasy, but he followed her,
"I'll wait here."he said as he stopped at her door. His mind spun, well, this was new, an elf princesse also has the blood of a hunter of the night.

Alina nodded and entered the room.She went to her dresser and sat down to braid her long black hair before tying the ends with a purple ribbon.Then she reached into her jewelry box and brought out her mothers necklace.She smiled admiring it a moment before placing it at her neck.She she pulled a scrap of parchment and wrote a letter to her father wishing him farewell and that she would return safely.With it done she walked out to the hall to meet kyen."Done.We should go now."She said pausing in front of him.

Kyen flicked Blue Ice's blade into the air as he looked at her.
"Ok, Hold on to me, I'm going to use shadow travel. It's teh quickest way and only way to get to our stronghold." he smiled and held out his hand, then shook his head, "Nay, on second thought, you better ride my back." he say dropping to his knees.

Alina blinked."What?"She thought a moment then shrugged and climbed on wrapping her arms around his neck.She was nervous but said nothing.

Kten chuckled,
"Don't worry las, it won['t do you any harm." then he ran at the wall and lapt into a patch of shadows and they were away.

Alina shrieked and wrapped her arms tighter around kyens neck nearly choking him.

"Ah las, relax, haven't you tried shadow travel before. I will appreciate you not killing me through suffocation.

"No I have not."Alina said clenching her teeth.She braced herself for another blast of speed.

He chuckled,
"It's almost flying right?" he grinned, "Hold on lass, this will go far." he leapt again and soon they were surrounded by trees.

Alina glad to be in the forest and on her feet leaped from kyens back and spun letting out a laugh."I love this forest."She chuckled and felt a sudden dizziness and fell back into the leaf covered ground laughing still.
