Okay, I've gotten permission to post my story "Envious". But it has mature content so I will post some stuff here:

Rating: Older Teen
Warnings: Language, alcohol references, homosexual characters (some people are disturbed by them), and some sexual content/speech. If any of this disturbs you, don't read, okay? No lemons or it would be a adult rating or something.

-

Chapter I

It was silent, which was a little bit reassuring for Vivian, because that meant she didn't have to hear any arguing when she came back from her... hanging out with Van. That poor boy doesn't know what he'll be doing with his life when he got older. Anyway, Vivian did notice that her parents were glaring at each other. Their auras were hostile. Had they just had an argument? She hoped not.

Of course they had! I, the narrator, have studied them and would know these things. Gil didn't seem to mind any of their issues anyway. He just looked very calm, and I must say, that made Roomi very upset. Why the hell was her husband all "meh" at her when she was in a state of emotional distress? They stayed put, though, dumbly. And here, the word "dumbly" doesn't mean done in a stupid manner, but rather, without speaking.

Gil decided to break the ice. "...so... you awe fwuthtwated."

"Yes I am, idiot," Roomi crossed her arms and she stormed out the door to go find something to make her feel better. Possibly the bar. She could drown her sorrows there, for sure. Roomi took the path from Gil's home (along with that, he still lived with his father) down to the bar. Well, let's say she was very, very surprised to find Juli having sake.

"Wait, what. Since when did he consume any alcohol? I thought he was straight edge..." She was most certainly confused by the man drinking. Roomi took a seat at the counter, and Cathy immediately came to her service.

"So, what's up, Roomi?" she asked with a smile. A man with strawberry blonde hair was cooking in the back, and the look on his face was very angry and frustrated.

"The sky."

"So... what do you want?" Cathy had a very strange grin on his face.

"Waitress! More sake, please~! Ufufu!"

"Oh god..." Roomi could easily tell who it was. She knew only two people who laughed like that. Miori and Juli. She guessed that it was a family trait. And of course, it was Juli. "How much did he consume?"

"Oh, I believe about 5 bottles already."

"...really? Anyway, I just want something. Anything."

"Um... blueberry cocktail?"

"...sure." Roomi just accepted that offer, and Cathy gave her father, Harper, the order, and she quickly went to serve Juli. He was intoxicated, and he was rather upset that day. After finishing that bottle, Juli was... knocked out on the table.

"Well, he can't hold as much liquor as Ose could if he passed out from six bottles of sake," Cathy stated matter-of-factly.

"That's for sure." Roomi sipped from her cocktail and she looked rather depressed.

"So, Roomi, how come you're drinking? I thought you hated cocktails."

"I don't hate them. I just don't care for them too much."

"It's Gil."

If you know Roomi when she's in a bad mood (or, if you'd rather, PMSing very badly) you should never mention what's making her feel so grumpy. "...don't utter that son of a b****'s name..." she growled through gritted teeth.

"Martial problems? I know where you're coming from, I think. Ose proposed marriage to me while he was drunk, so I was all like 'call me when you're sober!' and I threw him out."

"He deserved it. And yes, to your question..." Roomi turned away and crossed her arms.

"What's wrong with Gil anyways? He's real attractive."

"You know, if Gil was here, he would correct your grammar. I made one grammatical mistake, and he told me to learn how to speak English."

"...so he's not as nice as he looks? That sucks. I hate guys like that."

"At least our daughter is pretty," Roomi lowered her eyelids and looked like she was having a horrible time. "Since you want to know about Gil..." She took another sip. "...I'll tell you."

"Go on." Cathy polished glasses.

"Well, Gil never goes out with me. He doesn't hug me. He doesn't tell me he loves me. He's too business. He never talks about anything interesting. He doesn't really seem to care about Vivian. And he doesn't have sex with me!" she ranted. She sipped the last of her cocktail and she asked for more, topping it off with a "please".

"...who's Vivian?" Cathy's eyebrows raised. How could she forget the child who looked like Gil with long hair? Well, Vivian doesn't really do anything but go to school and go hang out with Van and go home to play pretend tea party. Cathy gave Roomi another blueberry cocktail. Roomi took a sip, though looking rather bored.

"Our kid." Roomi was mentally face-palming.

"Ohh... wow. Gil sounds like a boring bumpkin. Especially the last part! What kind of man has no sex drive like that?! At least Ose would bed me." The barmaid put her hands on her hips and seemed as if she would rant too.

"Gil. And, Cathy, any guy would want you in his bed. Except for Gil."

"What about the pornos with me in it? Doesn't he read that?"

"If he read that, I would kill him."

A/N: Sorry that this chapter had the word "sex" used so often. The next chapter doesn't have that word used too often. Besides, they're at a bar. xD

Chapter II

She finished her drink and she climbed off of the stool, preparing to leave.

"You're leaving already? Well, bye, I guess," Cathy flipped a blonde fringe out of her face and continued to polish glasses. "If you want suggestions for single men, just ask."

She was silent for a long time, then she spoke. "I hate men."

"Right." Along with Roomi's conclusion of men being awful, she didn't even like any of them. She found Juli to be gaudy, Calvin, Tao, Chihaya, and Won were all taken, Luke was very immature (and she thought he was interested in Sheila anyway), and she knew that Cathy was really digging Ose's body, and she thought Ose was unintelligent and a brute anyway. Also, she thought that Perin and Boan were too young. "But, Roomi, y'know, not all men are like Gil. I'm pretty sure that Gil is the only prude out of them."

"Wait, that means Juli actually has sex with people? The thought is... like... grotesque. It's probably gay sex anyw-- but then again.... who would be his partner in bed?!"

"I'm pretty sure all the guys 'round here are straight. Except for Gil and maybe Takeru. But they both look like uke types anyways." Cathy finished polishing each glass until they were spotless. She put them away and Chihaya was just leaving to go home to Mai.

"See you, guys. Going home for sex," he said boredly as he walked out the door. Roomi looked quite aggravated.

"...I'm going to leave now. I'll be back whenever I feel like drowning my Gil-related sorrows again. So... bye." She left to go home, and it was midnight. Gil was just reading under candlelight and Vivian was in bed. Gil wasn't the one to send her to bed, however, Vivian sent herself to bed.

"Hello, Mith Woomi."

"Stopped calling me just Roomi, now? You talk like you're old."

"Don't confuth me for my fathew, Mithy."

"Missy? What the h***?"

"I don't accept thuch pwofanity to be used under my woof." (No, not like a dog's bark, he has a lisp.)

"Your father's roof, you mean." Gil marked his place in the book. He shut his eyes and there was a very apparent frown on his face, even more apparent from his usual. In fact, it was almost like he was grimacing. He rubbed his temples and he sighed.

"You're giving me a headache," he grumbled. Roomi turned away and crossed her arms.

"Glad you feel that way," she spoke softly, and half-choked. "... jerk." Gil narrowed his blue eyes and he looked even more frustrated and angry than he normally did.

"Excuth me?" he furrowed his eyebrows, "Repeat yourthewf." She, instead of repeating herself, she just expanded upon what she said.

"I'm sick and tired of your bull****, Gil. I hate you, and I'm going to leave you!" she almost yelled. Gil was stunned by her use of language. He swallowed, and he clenched his fists. He collected himself enough for him to speak.

"If that'th the way you feel... Hey, awe you... cwying?"

"No!" She slapped him and Gil winced, it did hurt quite a bit. He placed a palm on his cheek and he grimaced. He crawled back into his shell of indifference. She turned and she was just leaving. Then she froze. "I'll come back to get my things and my daughter." The ice blonde nodded and he looked incredibly pained. He shut his eyes tightly, and then he heard the door shutting. She'd left him. Their relationship was officially ended.

"...tho it'th all ovew," Gil muttered to himself. Now, he wished he treated her better. He should have seen the end coming with the way he treated her.

-

Roomi got to the Tailor Shop (though known as Sonata Tailoring) and an old lady crawled out from a room, holding a lit candle. "Roomi?" the old woman began, quietly. She had just gotten out of bed. "What are you doing here? I thought you were with Gil?"

"I left him because he's a jerk, Grandma," Roomi explained with a somewhat angry tone.

"...how dare you decide to be a single mum! GO TO YOUR ROOM!"

"...I get grounded the first day I come back? Not cool. I'm a mother, you know!"

"I don't care!" Seraf said, looking passionate and angry. She wasn't pleased with the idea of her granddaughter being a single mother. She shunned the idea, actually

"It's not even my fault. Gil wasn't treating me right, so I was mad at him! I'll get my stuff and Vivian tomorrow!"

"You better, or you'll fail as a parent if you leave your baby with a horrid person like him." Seraf, Gil wasn't all that bad, he just lacks what Roomi wants. "But for now, go to your room. It's, like, one in the morning." Roomi nodded and she followed her grandmother's command. The room looked almost exactly the same as it did before she married Gil.

:3 And more has come.

Chapter III

The next day, Roomi got up at noon, which was pretty normal for her. She just loved getting up late. Unfortunately, she wasn't really able to when she was living with Gil. Seraf stared at her while she was asleep. When Roomi opened her eyes, she almost screamed. "Grandma! Why were you watching me sleep?!"

"You're just so cute while you're sleeping, so I couldn't resist!" Seraf smiled. Roomi looked as if she were being violated. "What? Sorry..."

-

After Roomi took care of business she was supposed to care for when she was awake. "Right. Now I have to go retrieve my daughter from that son of a b--well, that would make my daughter's grandmother a b****." She left the tailoring shop, and she found her sister standing around outside. Roomi's eye twitched. "Uh... Kotomi? What are you doing there?" The blue-haired girl stood dumbly for a few minutes, then she turned around. She looked rather depressed, though, she did suffer of clinical depression

"Oh... Roomi... W-what are you...?"

"Gil problems. I'm leaving him forever."

"O-oh..." Kotomi looked back into the distance. "W-where are you... g-going...?" Her voice was rather broken, but that was usual for the shy girl.

"I'm getting my daughter." Roomi shut her eyes and she walked off to the Town Hall (where Gil resided) to get Vivian. However, something unsuspected happened. She ran into a certain man. A certain, flamboyant, colourful man.

「ち!」 he cried out. That word there is romanticised as "chi", but pronounced like the interjection "tch". He pretty much said "s***". "Watch where you're going...!" He put a hand on his head and Roomi immediately recognised him. He noticed that it was Roomi, so he didn't continue to speak.

"Juli?! What the h***?" She was stunned that she'd run into him of all people.

"I didn't know you lived there anymore!"

"I'm moving back," she stated matter-of-factly, almost as if everyone should know that. Juli put a finger on his lip and he smiled his usual sly smirk. D*** it, I hate him so much.

"Let me guess... Gil-san's fault!" He held his arms out as if he were gonna hug her. He was definitely flamboyant.

"Smart boy."

"Of course." The flamboyant male placed a hand over his chest and grinned. "Ufufu~." She clenched her fists, trying not to kill him. That chuckle simply irritated her.

"But why are you here?" Roomi wanted to know.

"Well, I visit here on my day off. It is Thursday, after all." Juli lifted a hand and he gave a hand wave of dismissal.

S***, she cursed mentally. I forgot his day off was on Thursday... Juli smiled and kept silent for a few moments. Then he was the first to kill the deathly silence.

"It's most apparent that you're planning to kill Gil, ne?" he asked, throwing in even more unnecessary Japanese--or rather... 日本語. In case you cannot read Kanji, that says Nihongo, which is Japanese in Japanese. If you do not know, in Japanese, "ne" is basically "am I right?".

"I don't know what 'ne' is. Please explain it." She didn't know Japanese, and she really didn't care if he knew it or not.

"Well--" he began, only to be cut off.

"I didn't mean explain it, idiot. I don't care," she said, seeming almost calm, and walking away. Juli didn't notice that his cheeks were tinted a rosy hue the whole time, and Roomi didn't seem to care. And, it was true, she didn't care at all. She did say that she hated men, after all.

Perhaps she'd thought that his cheeks were just rosy normally. Perhaps... The purple-haired male could almost smirk. He just loved a good challenge.

-

A/N: All translations are specified in here, and Juli is the only character who uses random Japanese. xP I also didn't really like this chapter all that much, it just isn't my favourite one.

Chapter IV

"I'm here for Vivian, Gil," Roomi said as she banged on Gil's door. When Gil answered, Roomi was banging on his face. Gil whined in pain, and he quickly put a hand on the wounded area.

"You'we hewe for Vivian, Woomi?" he restated her thoughts, his tone here was a bit nasally. His lisp seemed even more present than ever before, and oh how Roomi despised that lisp of his. Roomi crossed her arms and she nodded.

"Another reason I don't like you so much! You never share your own thoughts! You just restate mine! And yes, I'm here for her." Gil nodded and he went to get Vivian.

"Hewe you go," he said, and the whole time, he was envisioning Takeru wearing just an ickle paper bag. He was very much into the farmer, you see. He adored Takeru, right down to the light suntan. Roomi gladly took her daughter and marched her straight to Sonata Tailoring.

"Uh... Mother..?" Vivian was a bit confused, being taken from her father (whom she greatly resembled) and being dragged to some place with her mum. Roomi didn't answer and continued to take her daughter. She opened the door slightly and found Juli enjoying the clothing, and Kotomi sitting in a chair, completely still. It was kind of creepy. Juli looked like he wanted to have sex with the clothing. He constantly ogled them, which bothered many people.

"How fabulous!" he said, saying it with hearts. Roomi gave him a death glare.

"Get out," she refrained from swearing in front of her daughter.

"Why? Is it because you think I'm --" he began, however, she cut him off.

"Yes. Now get out!" Juli sighed and followed her command. He did look rather pained that she forced him away, but he had to listen. Honestly, he really hated it when people answered "yes" to thinking he was gay. But he wasn't, he merely had flamboyant tendencies.

"Well, ciao~," Juli muttered as he scooted his lanky self out of the shop.

"That got rid of him," Roomi said, almost as if that were an accomplishment. Vivian was curious about what Juli was about to say he had. But we can't ruin her childish innocent yet, that would be quite sad for her. She didn't quite understand the concept of homosexuality, and she probably didn't even know it occurred. She is only seven, you know. Kotomi was finally no longer completely still (which causes the song Still Doll to play) and she finally began working on her latest project. I have no idea what it was because she just started. Roomi mumbled and she decided that, although it was still light out, Vivian would sent to bed. She just sent Vivian to hang around in her (Roomi's) room. She didn't expect the child to sleep, of course. "Vivian, go sit around in this room and watch the television, 'kay? I'm going out." The short pinkette led the blonde (by the way, her daughter is actually almost as tall as she is already) to the room, and shut the door behind her. She headed out to the bar, the second day in a row. Little did she know, Juli was watching and making sure she didn't drink too many bottles of liver damage. Roomi hung around the counter, where she would be served. She spoke of multiple things with Cathy.

What things, may you ask? Well, they spoke of men and sex the most. Juli, eavesdropping on the conversation, found one little titbit to be most interesting. "Roomi, how come you won't find a man? Y'know, Juli's available and everything..." Shipper on deck, tsk tsk.

"Wha..? What the h*** happened to the other single guys?"

"Luke got with Sheila and turns out that they have lots of sex."

"...figures." Juli couldn't see exactly what was going on, but he at least knew what they were saying.

"Plus, I got engaged to Ose. This time, he proposed while he had no alcohol in his system!" Cathy added a heart to the end of that sentence, by her tone of voice, Juli assumed that she was happy. "So I didn't have to reference the title of that one Evanescence song!" Cathy really, really liked Evanescence and Taylor Swift, but that's not really important.

"Congratulations," Roomi said in monotone. "What about Boan and Perin?"

"Perin is interested in Miori and Boan is actually a girl."

"Wait... what?!" Juli's reaction was exactly the same as Roomi's. Not as much to Boan's real sex, but more to the fact that Perin was into his aunt.

How dare that scum find interest in my aunt! Juli raged inwardly. He wasn't particularly fond of anyone wanting a piece of his aunt, especially since she was a widow. Roomi's shock was much more about Boan being a girl than what Juli was concerned about.

"But, Roomi, really, Juli is single!"

"I don't care if he's single! He's a d*****bag!" Well, Juli was crushed there.

-

Hours of drinking, Roomi eventually passed out due to the overconsumption of alcohol. Juli peered in, and he was shocked.

"Oh my!" He rushed over to her. "She's knocked out cold!" Juli picked her up and looked almost as if he was going to scream "why" in an over dramatic tone. If only there was a dramatic spotlight... He had to bring her to the tailoring shop, and he did. Unfortunately the door was locked and he was jumping around like he had to use the toilet. He banged upon the door, hoping for an answer. A blue-haired shy girl answered. She was shivering for no apparent reason. Then again, she always did.

"J-J-J-Juli... w-why are y-you h-holding R-Roomi?"

"She's p***ed, and she passed out."

"...w-what?"

"Drunk. She consumed far too much alcohol, so she got knocked out. Poor ickle girl."

"P-put her on the... c-couch..." Kotomi said, then she quickly added "please". Juli nodded and did just so.

-

Of course, Juli is also a British character. xP

Chapter V

After Juli set the pinkette on the sofa, he watched her for a few moments. However, the awkward silence was eventually broken. "J-Juli-chan," Kotomi began with a stutter, she usually did call him Juli-chan as they've known each other since childhood, "w-would you l-like anything...? Maybe c-c-c-coffee?"

"...do I look like the Wizard to you?" Juli asked, wearing a teasing smirk. "I'd accept the offer if my doctor didn't tell me to stop consuming caffeine. I don't need it and it messes up my sleep schedule. Oh, and it can cause addiction and an over-dosage will kill me. <3" He wagged his finger, chuckling slyly.

"...decaf?"

"Well, if it's decaf... ufufu... I'll accept your offer, dear." He liked coffee, but the only doctor on the entire island told him "no caffeine". As Kotomi headed to that snazzy looking kitchen, Juli settled into a comfortable-looking chair that was positioned just next to the couch Roomi was sleeping on. He held his hands over his chest and his fingers were intertwined, well, they basically looked like the Clasp Your Hands If You Deceive trope. As he waited for his decaffeinated beverage, Juli looked about, contemplating his surroundings. The shy, bluenette returned after a few minutes.

"H--" she began, though cut off by the only male that ever showed up in the shop (except for Yuuki).

"I've never noticed how nice your place was, ufun."

"Um... th-thank y-you..? H-here's your coffee." Juli gladly took the cup and he had a rather childish expression.

"This is brill! <3" His tone of voice was rather nonchalant and sounded slightly more like a young boy than a grown man. She, not knowing Brit slang, was a little confused, so she decided that it would be best to tell him she didn't know what "brill" meant. He explained and then the conversation turned into a little chat about how Roomi should be prevented from something such as this. But then the conversation died after Juli brought up Karen's drinking issues. Vivian had been watching the conversation. To be frank, she was pretty disappointed that it wasn't her father there, and that he just happened to bring Roomi over after finding her completely wasted.

"Ufuf-- Why do I sense that there's a child in the room~?" Juli had a rather silly expression on his face. The coffee mug he held in his hand was half-empty. Then Vivian slowly stepped out from her hiding place. "Oh hello, Vivian! How are you doing?" She stared at him silently. Then she spoke;

"Mother should never drink or she'll go to Hell." What a horrible child... Apparently she believes that those who do drugs, consume alcohol, sexually promiscuous, or just violent should go to Hell.

"...oh my. Gil rubbed off on the poor child." Of course, Juli had to blame the rudeness on Gil, but it really came from her sour mother.

"Don't talk about my father like that or you'll go to Hell."

"I can't help that he's a wanker," Juli scoffed. Vivian glared at him, despite not knowing what a wanker even was. But, when her gaze fell to her sleeping mother, Vivian looked rather sad.

"...I wish that Mother could be happy with Father..." Juli rolled his eyes. Was Vivian purposely trying to make him feel jealous? He decided that she, as a child, probably hadn't thought of all the underlying problems of the marriage, so he kept his mouth shut. He didn't know exactly why Roomi wanted to divorce Gil in the first place, and he wasn't about to ask until she would warm up to him. "Now I don't have a father anymore... and I never will ever again..." Juli couldn't help but scoff to himself. But, he cleared his throat and tried to act as if he really felt sorry for the divorce.

"Um, Vivian-chan, you know that those kinds of wounds can heal too, right? It just takes time. I should know if my uncle died and my parents left me behind to do who knows what."

"...are you telling me to cheer up so I can be Vivian, the Mayor of Fashion?" Vivian loved fashion, and she also wanted to be a mayor. That combined with her thinking a lot of people should go to Hell wasn't pleasant.

"Of c-- wait, what? I never said that. Change of subject. Apparently you want to be a mayor, like how Gil used to want. But then he became a teacher. Like father, like daughter, I see. Ufufu. And then there's the physical resemblance. You could almost be a Gil clone! <3"

"..." Vivian was a bit silent. "Why don't you like my father? Is it because he hurt Mother?"

「あの・・・」 Juli's cheeks had a rosy hue to them. "Well, it's more than just that. He's really mean to me, and I hate his capris very much. I don't even know if he knows what my name is, considering he doesn't know neither my buddy Chihaya nor Mai's names." Juli started to mock Gil, lisp and all, "Durrhurr, I herd that teh innkeeper's daughter and the man behind teh bar gawt marrieeeeeeed. I hopeth thay hath baybeeth." Then the purple-haired man looked rather upset.

"But they did have a child together. Her name is Yui."

"Chihaya likes to tell me all about her. She's your friend right?"

"Yes. Father and Mister Chihaya argued about Yui and I."

"Why?" Juli cocked an eyebrow and looked rather confused. Why would Gil argue about his own daughter? The main reason why he even talked to Chihaya was because they were good friends.

"They were fighting over which daughter was prettier and better."

"Oh," Juli put a palm on his face. Why didn't I think of that?

Vivian cocked her head to the side. She was rather curious as to why he was practically the only younger man in town who didn't seem to have a love interest. Shouldn't he have gotten married by now? Why was he still single? "Mister Juli, why did you never marry?"

"Well, I never really found love just yet. But, however, there is one lovely lady out there, though, I don't think she'd be very interested..." Juli looked rather nonchalant, sipping a cup of coffee. He really tried to be subtle.

"Stay away from my mother." The blonde child almost sensed who Juli was interested in.

"Wha...? How did you...?"

"It's pretty obvious who you like, Mister Juli." She wasn't very impressed with the idea that the garish man was interested in her mother. Then again, not really that many people would actually be fond of their parent getting with another person, particularly if they were a child.

"But I mostly like her in a caring ma--"

"My mother is beautiful, so tell the truth," Vivian glared. Juli had a hopeless smile on his face.

"She is beautiful, but if I was interested, it would be for more than her pretty face, you should know. Superficial reasons for marriage is why some couples fall apart," Juli muttered bitterly. "I'm not a shallow man, you know."

"You'd better make her happy, Mister Juli," the girl said. She was serious, Juli could surely tell. In fact, she was giving him a look that said "if you love my mother, make her happy or you'll go to Hell".

"I-I would... for sure," Juli said with a smirk. It was a little unnerving for a little girl to be demanding him to treat her mother well, particularly since she had a rather passive tone of voice. The blonde moonwalked out of the room, and Juli was left with a very unexplainable expression.

-

A/N: 「あの」 "Ano" means "um". Also, don't ask me why Vivian is so horrible. But it's rather amusing that she says that her own mother will go to Hell.

Chapter VI

Just minutes after Vivian had retreated to the room, the pinkette was slowly waking up. Juli had a very blank and empty smile on his face, though he didn't seem to notice she was awakening. Roomi looked rather frustrated and a bit ill. Juli glanced to the couch. Though, it was much less of a glance than it was really just turning his head to check.

"O, it seems you're waking up~? <3 Ufufu~ <3" His smile was much less empty and rather jovial. She had a hand on her head, mostly due to the headache she had, and she looked like she was going to kill someone. "...you don't seem well, darling..." Juli pointed out the obvious, which frustrated Roomi even more than she already was.

"Don't call me that and why are you here?" she spoke rather quickly, though she had a bit of a headache. She was definitely irritable, especially considering how abrasive she usually is. Thus, this is much worse.

"Roomi-san, I believe you're having a hangover. Get a drink of water, dehydration is a symptom of hangover. If you want alcohol, get hair of the dog. If you know a thing about hair of the dog, it's supposed to remedy hangovers." Juli seemed almost as if he was trying to seem very smart. He was intelligent, but he never really felt the need to show it all off, but he never made himself out to be stupid. Roomi furrowed her eyebrows. She hated smart***es, and that's what she thought Juli was being. A smart***.

"Why would I listen to you?" she scowled. Her fists were clenched and she was incredibly angry. She really didn't want to listen to the metrosexual. He scoffed at how stubborn she was.

"I know about hangovers. I've had to deal with alcoholics before who have had hangovers." Juli crossed his arms and he had a smug tone of voice. She rolled her eyes and she just did as he said, because apparently he had to deal with people having hangover. She got up from the sofa, went to the kitchen, got a drink of water, and then she glared at him when she returned.

"Why are you still here?" Oh dear.

"I can't help being at least somewhat concerned. I'm the one who brought you back after you passed out at the bar. Be at least somewhat thankful. Though, if you'd like me to leave, then I will. Just say the magic word." Roomi glared at him even harder. She knew he meant "please", but she really didn't like it when people insisted that others speak politely.

"Screw you," she growled between her teeth. Kotomi looked rather upset. Juli sighed at how rude she was. Everyone who was currently in the room knew what she really wanted to say.

"I-I... I'm so sorry," Kotomi apologised for Roomi's rude behaviour. Roomi muttered something inaudible and she stormed off to her bedroom, where her child was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

"I don't mind her rude behaviour too much, you needn't apologise, Kotomi-chan," Juli smirked a coy smirk. It really didn't bother him too much, though it made him a little bit sad that she really, really hated him. It was only a matter of time before she said something absolutely horrible to him, but he keep his mind off of that.

"Sh-she's r-really nice d-deep down," Kotomi said rather quietly.

"Well, of course she'd be at least caring if she yelled at me for how I treated you as children. She's a dear, ne?" His tone was quite nonchalant as he spoke of the short girl. Then again, all of the girls in that household were really short. Vivian was short because she was a kid, Seraf just short, Roomi was tiny, and Kotomi is still short. That only increased the もえ and ロリタ factor of the household anyway.

"Uh... um... y-yeah...? Y-you were a m-mean g-girl..." She was about to speak a bit more until Juli spoke out.

"...I'm not a girl, nor was I ever!" Juli really did hate it when someone said he was a girl. In fact, it was the thing he hated the absolute most. And when he was frustrated, his accent was most apparent. But, he was very, very feminine and he only looked even more like a girl when he was young. After finding out he was actually a male, many found him to be garish.

"I-I'm gl-glad y-you d-don't like me anymore... th-that means you won't t-tease me a-anymore, right?" Juli nodded as a silent reply, though he did have something to say to that. He waited a bit to calm down, and he finally talked.

"I don't really tease girls I like like that anymore, though. I grew up, remember~?"

"S-so y-you like Roomi-chan n-now?"

"Well... yes. She's enticed me for quite a while, but I knew how impolite it would be if I just ask her out now. She did just break away from Gil-san. I'll just wait for her. Kotomi-chan, do you like anyone in particular?"

"I l-like Gil-san... well... I u-used to... then I met the wizard..."

"Wait, you've met the Wizard..?!" Juli almost fell out of his chair. How shocking that was! "And you have a crush on him? Aw, that's so cute! Ufufu! <3 Call him Wizzy. That'll be adorable!" He grinned.

"B-but I-I don't th-think I have a chance..." Poor emo girl...

"Poor dear..." Juli sighed. "Don't worry though. If you like Wizard-sama enough, you'll have at least a shadow of a chance." Well, the conversation was over when Roomi came out to the living room, looking horrible. She was slowly dragging herself through the living room, went to the main shop, dragged through that, and left the building.

「なに・・・?」

-

A/N: First, translations:

もえ - Moe "Moh-eh" - Cute girls. They come in multiple flavours and are very popular in Japan.
ロリタ - Rorita (meant to be Lolita, but Ls aren't present in Japanese) - Either a fashion statement or a fetish for girls who are children.
なに - Nani "Nah-nee" - "What" Simple.
ね - Ne "neh" - Basically the term the Japanese use for "right?" or "isn't it?" It isn't very formal.

Now my comments on this chapter: Ah, Kotomi has a wizard fetish, and Juli thinks that's adorable. Then Roomi shows up and drags herself to do who-knows-what. She might kill herself or something. Anyway, this is the last chapter I've really kept it to its original. The next ones really suck so I'm rewriting those.

Chapter VII

Roomi was headed to the bar again. Hadn't she already gone enough? I guess she's still pretty upset about Gil, perhaps that's why she's still visiting--for the third day in a row. When she came to the bar, she noticed that Ose and Luke were both extremely drunk and doing dirty things with each other's bodies. The pinkette was dreadfully disturbed by the activities the men were taking part in, so she tried not to pay attention to it. Cathy was none too pleased by what they were doing either.

"Cathy, can't you throw them out?" Roomi asked as soon as she got to the counter.

"Nope..." Cathy answered, though, she quickly changed the subject. "Whatcha orderin'? Oh, and how come you're here again? I never thought I'd see you in the bar three times in a row."

"Not here for alcohol, I'm just here for a chat," Roomi said. Cathy nodded.

"Sure'd be good for keepin' my mind offa 'em," she replied. Roomi nodded. Of course Cathy wanted to start because she had to first thing to say. "So, Roomi, I heard that you had sex with Juli. 'Cause Juli brought you into your house and stayed for a really long time, like all night. So did ya?"

"What?!" Roomi's face had a bright red hue to it. "Why would I ever do that? Do you think I'm a slut, Cathy?! You're the whore if anyone is one, b****!!"

"Sorry, it's just a rumour I heard. I wanted ta know if it was true or not. And that's mean, Roomi. You don't call anyone a whore. Besides, Sheila's the whore..."

"Hypocrite. You just said 'don't call anyone a whore', and then you called Sheila a whore!" The pinkette pointed a finger at Cathy. "B****! Hypocrite! GO DIE IN A HOLE, YOU WHORE!"

"You're mean, R--"

"AND YOU THINK I'M A SLUT, SO D*** YOU!" Cathy offered her a free pie, courtesy of Chihaya, and Roomi calmed down. She really liked pie. "Also, Sheila's a really big whore. She probably gets paid a lot to--"

"Don't talk about that stuff. Besides, there's two guys doin' it over 'dere an' they'll probably freak out if you say anything naughty."

"...you're disgusting, Cathy. And where the *BLEEP* is my pie?!" Oh my... Precision F-Strike, much?

"Chihaya is making it," Cathy said. Then she turned around. "CHIHAYA, AREN'T YOU MAKING HER FREE PIE?"

"Yes I am, b****, now shut up!" the male with strawberry blonde hair yelled as he was putting the pumpkin pie in the oven.

"See? He's working on it."

Roomi narrowed her eyes. "You know, as soon as I get my pie, I'm leaving you stupid a**holes." Cathy resisted the urge to slap her, and they just waited for a long time in silence, until the pie was ready. Chihaya got out the pie and he set it out to cool, though Roomi was a little impatient... Well, that's an understatement. She was very impatient. About ten minutes passed and finally Chihaya gave Cathy the pie to give to Roomi. He even put a little letter next to it.

It read, "If any Julis try to eat your pie, just say no." Roomi glared at the little letter. She was definitely sure that Chihaya and Juli were... close friends, considering how they mentioned each other often. Though, that'd mean that Juli's very few friends was Chihaya and Kotomi. And then practically everyone else on the island didn't like him. Roomi took her pie, didn't even thank Chihaya, and left. She saw Juli walking by, and she tried to keep her pie out of his sight. But, alas, Juli saw it and he randomly showed up next to her.

"May I have your pie?" he asked. Roomi narrowed her eyes, said no, and quickly left him to stand there.

「・・・くそ。」 He sighed. [パンプキンパイがたべたい・・・」 He turned and headed back to Flute Fields, where he lived. He was pretty sad that she wouldn't share with him. He really loved pumpkin pie, it was one of his favourite things ever. Perhaps is was because he had a bit of a pumpkin obsession?

Now, back at the tailoring shop. Roomi brought the pie back and Kotomi was knitting a sock, Vivian was telling the poor depressed girl that she was going to go to Hell.

"You're going to Hell because you're an emo." Poor Kotomi... The blue-haired girl looked like she wanted to cry. "Why did Mother bring a pie? She should have brought shortcake. Now she's going to go to H--"

"Vivian, enough of your 'going to Hell' speeches, you can't give them to me. Go to my room, and why are you still wearing a tie?"

"Because this is my only outfit. I only have a tie, dress shirt, and a skirt, Mother. I also have shoes and this flower that's completely out of place! Don't criticise my fashion sense or you'll go to Hell, Mother."

"To my room now. And you won't watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

"But that's my fa--"

"Don't care." Poor Vivian. She wasn't allowed to watch her favourite show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The towheaded girl moped to Roomi's room. "That'll teach her for telling me that I'll go to Hell."

-

Translations:

「くそ」 ”Kuso" means "s***" or "d***".
「パンプキンパイがたべたい。」 "Panpukin pai ga tabetai" This is an entire phrase. It means "I want to eat pumpkin pie". But, since he's using "ga" instead of "o", he only wants to eat pumpkin pie, as opposed to something else. It is one of his favourites, after all.

A/N: This turned out half-way decent, especially compared to the original, which was horrible. And don't ask to read it, dear god. Just don't.

Lol I love this chapter, it was hilarious Razz Keep going, and I hope the original wasn't one of the stories you told me about yesterday lol There's good balance between text and dialogue but it would be even better if you added the expressions of the people on top of the feelings, which you already have Razz

Chapter VIII

She heard a certain bell ring, a sure sign that the door to the shop had been opened. Please don't let it be Juli, she repeated to herself. Unfortunately, her pleas were not to come true. It was the purple-headed metrosexual. He trotted over to the living room and Roomi was silently wishing death upon him. Juli smiled.

"Ufufu~. Hi! Roomi-ch... I mean, Roomi-san, I brought you this flower and I just would like to say... I like you. Don't hit me, I just needed to get that off of my chest." He pulled a hand from behind his back and he was gently holding a flower. It had four pink blossoms on it, and the stem was drooping, but that was very normal for its breed of flower. It was, of course, a pinkcat flower. Roomi stared at the flower, looking almost like she couldn't even stand to look at it, even though she loved flowers, yes, pinkcats too. He noticed her lack of response, so he set the pinkcat flower down upon the coffee table. "You want me to leave you alone, ne? Well... I can't just give up on my feelings. It's just that I really like you. You just won't accept a view of me different from the old Juli you've come to despise. I understand why you hate me... but it's all past, so why don't you give me a chance to prove I've changed?"

"No, Juli. You expect me to give you a chance when you bother me with your 'affections'. You obviously want to rape me, you tranny." Upon the last sentence, Juli widened his eyes. His mouth slightly hung open and, in a few minutes, he narrowed his eyes, clenched his teeth, and tears were welling up in his eyes.

"...I'm not a tranny," was one of the only things he could manage to say. When she realised just how sensitive he was about that, she scoffed and pretended like she didn't care.

In order to back it up, just to make him feel better, she added, "But that isn't a problem..." She said it rather quietly, almost muttering it under her breath, but Juli could still hear it. He felt a bit too choked up to even respond, but he tried to regain his composure.

When he mustered the courage to speak, he spoke. "...so it's okay..? It's not... outlandish, or even horrible?" His voice was shaky. She nodded. The main reason why Roomi even said it was okay was because she wasn't particularly fond of when someone is as insecure as him when confronted about anything like that, and she especially didn't like it when they were horribly shaken by it. "It's only... that I am my own insecurity."

Strange, I thought he was going to be far from what he's displaying. He's being insecure and sensitive, which is really weird... He tried to pull a smile.

"And the part about raping you, I would never do such a thing. Do you think of me to be so horrible that I'd do something as horrible as that?"

"You obviously only want sex, so shoo."

"...I don't see the point in a relationship that's one purely based on sex. It's not what I'm into. Sorry." He got better quickly, didn't he? "Not the type to think 'f*** love, give me fire'. And I don't even know how the censor bleep didn't get that."

"Juli, let's take this conversation somewhere else. Other people are here and this is awkward."

"Oh sure," he gladly complied. Of course, she dragged him to his house since no one else is ever there. Noticing this, he rose an eyebrow. "...you know how wrong this would seem, right?"

"Don't care."

Hours later, after having tea and a long conversation about the situation, Roomi found herself actually liking him a little bit. Of course, he had to completely kill her moment of slight swooning.

"Now please leave. I haven't been to sleep for a really long time. I need some rest, mkay? We can talk more some other time."

"What..."

He simply smiled. "I haven't slept in three days for a few gold pieces." Why would he do that, she wondered. Oh well. She shrugged and left his very purple house, which included a rainbow doormat, by the way.

Since no one ever commented, I'll just continue anyway:

Chapter IX

The next day was rainy. Perfect... Roomi thought. I just love a rainy day... In actuality, she absolutely abhorred rain. Rain makes mud, and she hates mud. It was a rather quiet day though, as rainy days in Castanet tend to be rather slow and quiet. A certain guy who usually never visits came by that day. It was the local farmer, Yuuki.

"Hey, guys," he said when he came in. He was wearing a yellow slicker over his fall jacket, though, he didn't wear a rain hat with it. He ran a hand through his dark brown hair, which had two pieces that stuck out from the rest. He was usually too busy talking to himself, or that's what everyone thought, to ever come visit shops unless he needed something. It was either that or he was growing crops and caring for his livestock. Yuuki had a smile on his face. Roomi narrowed her eyes when she saw the brunette farmer.

"What brings you to Sonata Tailoring, Yuuki?" She had to admit that she had a crush on him before, in fact, practically every other girl on the island did. Well, that was until he started to seem to be talking to himself, which freaked everyone out. People constantly suggested that he visit the doctor on the island. "So, did you ever visit Doctor Won?"

"Hm? No. I don't need to visit him. Besides, all I'm doing is talking to--" Suddenly, Yuuki stopped, he wasn't supposed to mention Finn to anyone. He was a Harvest Sprite and shouldn't be mentioned, he didn't know what would happen if he brought Finn up. But then again, no one could see the orange sprite and would just think he was crazy. "Nevermind, it's not important." She looked even more suspicious. Yuuki never was a trustworthy character, to be honest, but he was always friendly, and willing to help out. When he first came to the island seven years ago, he hung around the shops very often, since he needed more, for he was only starting out. After a while, he didn't really hang around anyone anymore.

"Right... Not important," she rolled her eyes. Yuuki was just weird. He was so weird that he was a common topic of interest to speak of. Hikari, his close friend, wasn't as weird as she was ditzy. People generally thought that they were a couple, so they were never suggested to date. After all, people thought they were perfect for each other. Yuuki was so strange and Hikari was such a ditz. "How's your girlfriend doing?"

"Girlfriend? I don't have a girlfriend..." He rose his eyebrows. Why would she think he had a girlfriend. "If you're thinking of Hikari, well, she's not my girlfriend, haha..." He scratched the back of his head and he looked to the side. Roomi really thought that was strange.

He's denying it? Wow, what a great boyfriend. He definitely has some sort of secret though... It makes me curious, and I don't want to be! she thought.

"What? Hikari and I are only friends. We just live and work on the same farm, that's all... Is it a problem or something? Or are you jealous--"

"Why would I be jealous? I don't even like you."

Yuuki shrugged. "I came by to drop off some wool from my farm. Today's the day of the month I drop off products for the shops. Too bad it's rainy, though, I had to make sure the rain didn't ruin anything." He lifted up the basket he was holding, set it on the counter, and he opened it, showing Roomi the wool. "It's still dry. And I can't spend too long here, my cow is outside in the rain. Oh! And I almost forgot." He held a bottle of milk.

"What's that for?" To be honest, she was thinking, Why the hell would someone ride a cow?

"You can have it. You know, a bottle of milk or some cheese or butter is what I give to people after giving them a product they use for their business," he laughed a bit and set the bottle next to the basket. "Anyway, bye!" He left the shop. Roomi murmured something inaudible. She really didn't know what to do with the milk, but, as Seraf had taught her, be thankful if someone gave you something.
