The quest can only be undertaken by members who are full members, meaning above the rank of apprentice. Unlike the hunts, the quests are only used to increase a specific skill, which you will have to specify. To start embarking on a quest, you must open a topic
in this forum.
There are three types of quests. To know which type of quest you need to go on, you have to role the dice "Quest" and once you got the result, you need to edit your topic title. To begin with, you your title should look something like that: Quest unready
Then once you have your quest type, you need to edit the topic title with the type of quest. For example if you have quest A, the title will look like that; Quest unready- A.
Then you need a companion before you can finally start your quest. The companion has to be another full member, or you may choose the deputy or either of the dominants. If the you are to choose another full member, that member must have more in the skill you wish to increase then you currently. To let that member know you want them to be your companion, you should put their name in the description. To avoid that that member don't come on line in time, you should suggest three members.
When one of the members you have chosen to help you has agreed to help you,you should edit the topic description and write "companion (name of member going on the quest with you)" and remove the others. At this stage, you could also change the topic title to "Quest ready". The final step is to report your post so the dominants or deputy can approve and so you can begin your quest.
You need to specify a location in which your quest needs to be preformed and RPing according to the landscape. Remember that the entire quest is preformed in the topic you opened and not in the location specified, the location is just to help with description if you want to write about the land in your posts.
The companion need to approve the quest by filling in the form then give a list of tasks that the member need to complete. Also, if you are a companion, you should check the topic often and give some help if needed. However, remember that you're not doing the quest, so you should help by giving suggestions of what to do and the like.
A quest can end in one of two ways: and you must report the post with the reasons as folows
1. The quest is completed. This means that you have achieved all your goals set to you
2. Quest suspended. This means you have not completed your quest due to either you or your companion failing to post at least once a week in the topic.
If the member does manage to complete the quest successfully, they will earn the following points according to the type of quest they hD:
QUEST A: 20 in the skill and 5 in experience
QUEST B: 10 in the skill and 4 in experience
QUEST C: 5 in the skill and 3 in experience
if the quest fail, then the quester will earn 1 experience but none in the skill.
The companion if the quest was successful, will earn 5 experience point. If the quest was not successful, then they would only earn 1 experience point.
Note:
The the types of (A, B and C) the the hardest is A and C is the easiest so when thinking of tasks, the companion must remember this and design the tasks according to quest type. Go on a quest
