The Golden Prairies

The Golden Prairies is where the pack goes to hunt, well one of the few places for big game hunting. Depending on the season, you can find many types of prey from deer to buffalos to even wild boar. The sky is uncovered by any trees and every so often, you can see eagles and hawks circling far above. Hunters of the pack are allowed to be hear, or indeed any full-grown wolves. However, because there is near to no cover in the area, pups shouldn't be here alone. Also, this is sometimes a dangerous part as this is at the edge of the territory and stranger wolves sometimes try to claim the area.

"Let's see what skills you have with hunting small game then"Razzu replied as he followed auras gaze to the prey before them.

Aura smiled happily her eyes taking on a devious glint. She stood and took off toward the rabbit streaking after it rather then stalking it like most. It didn't take her long to catch up to the rabbit just as it was about to disapear down a hole she snapped at it catching a back leg in her jaws. She lifted the still struggling rabbit and looked over to Razzu not wanting to kill it sense she wasn't hungry and it would be a waste.

Rayne saw the other light coated female snatch a rabbit up and keep it dangling in her jaws... still alive. "Jeeze!" She ran forward, taking the rabbit and snapping it's neck. Then, realizing what she had done, she pinned her ears against her head, tucked her tail and lowered to her belly. "I'm sorry... I just-" she gulped. "I don't like watcing animals suffer, and..." she nudged the rabbit back towards the female. "Here."

Razzu blinked as he watched the other female burst in.He chuckled at the sight."Well done to the both of you."He called,before wincing at a jerk in his side.

Aura was surprised at the other females entrance and sighed as she looked down at the dead rabbit thinking it was such a waste. She smiled at the other female and pushed it toward her "Here I'm not hungry you have it". Aura shook herself and then trotted back to Razzu and lifted a brow at his wince before shrugging and sitting down a little way from him watching the horizon.

'As soon as the sun sets I will take them to cats eye lookout.'He thought to himself.He laid his head down glad to have a bit of rest.

Aura saw Razzu in the corner of and chuckled softly seeing he looked rather tired after the days ordeals. She smiled and laid down resting her head on her paws yawning softly. She watch a small speck traveling across the horizon and wondered what it was thinking it was probably a deer.

Razzu's eyes spied something i the distance.His ears perked and the wind blew in his face.The figure was coming fast.'A predator' He thought.He could just see that it was something large.It was headed straight for them.Razzu was the only male that could protect the new wolves.He thought quickly,rising to his feet wincing at the aches in his body.He had a limp as he staggered toward the approaching threat but he would defend no matter what the cost.

Aura saw the thing had turn and was heading toward them. She lifted her head and squinted trying to see what it was. When she noticed Razzu stand she sttod as well and walked over to him. "Sit down you can't even move let alone fight anything relax I may be small, but I am not helpless I have survived this long on my own and the other female looks like she can hold her own". Aura looked back over to the now fast approching things and waited wnating to see what it was before reacting.

Rez have left Vin to join Aura and Raz,
"Whats going on?" she asked curious.

Razzu dropped to his haunches the aches forming all over.He looked to see rez and smiled trying to hide a wince."somethings coming."Razzu tried to stand and limp forward once more."I have to protect everyone."

"Stop" she said in an easy commanding tone, "You're hurt, she licked his ear gently, I'll go see what it is."

Razzu collapsed again and this time the aches overwhelmed him.He grunted irritably."Be careful."He said softly.

Aura growled when Razzu stood again about to tell him not to when his sister spoke. She turned to Rezsia and smiled "I will come with you if it is alright Rezsia".

Then she saw the thing,
"I think they are coyoties." she said, "they must be hungry too." she relaxed and sat watching them.

Aura laughed and sat down "Shesh all this for a bunch of coyotes'. Aura laughed and yawned again laying back down. She looked over her shoulder to make sure Razzu was resting before setting her head back on her paws and closing her eyes.

Rez grinned,
"No worries." she smiled and flopped down beside her brother and Aura.

Razzu didn't like coyotes he had a bad history with them when he was younger."If a wasn't aching like this I would be chasing those dogs right out of the territory."He grumbled as he laid his head down again.

Aura opened one eye and looked over to Razzu rolling her eye "Well you are sore so stop grumbling like a old man and enjoy the sunlight". Aura chuckled softly and patted her tail on his back reasuringly "If you really want I'll go chace those mean old coyotes away for you".

"No!"Razzu voice was hard."If they come any closer,I will deal with them myself."He grunted,his eyes glaring at the spots in the distance.

Aura sighed and rolled her eyes shaking her head softly "You are in no shape to chace coyotes for today you just need to leave them alone, tomorrow you can chace them". Aura's gaze shifted to the coyotes as the scowered the land for something to eat calling back and forth between each other as they went.

Razzu grunted again.But then couldn't help himself.He sighed and closed his eyes in defeat."Very well."He looked out at the horizon and felt peace within himself.

Rez chuckled and looked at her twin.
"Alright, I'll go and chase them away." she grinned and dashed off her tail waving. She tackled the leader of the pack and pinned him to the ground. "No coyoties are allowed here, , this land belongs to Forest Shadow now. Go before I bight your tail off." she growled. Seeing he was out matched, the coyote called his pack and vanished in seconds. Rez went back to Aura and Razzu, "Trouble delt with, they won't be coming back again." she grinned, "That was actually quite fun."

Vin returned back to the praries, and sat down beside Razzu. "Its wonderful to see you as well, I got distracted by the newcomers, so my apologies."

Rez padded over to him and looked at him hesitantly.
"I want to be your mate." she said, so low only he could hear.
